About Erin Liebman

I am a native of the Chicagoland area. Having traveled extensively, and lived on both coasts, there is no other city I would rather call home. With that said, it gives me great personal and professional satisfaction to have the opportunity to provide support and intervention to those within the community I live and work. It is my hope that we can develop a collaborative, trusting, and long-lasting relationship through our work together. As a professional, I am a School Psychologist, Reading Specialist, and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I currently work as a School Psychologist in the northwest suburbs, and have a private practice. My client population includes families and children through age 21. I do some work with adults who continue to struggle with any disorders first diagnosed in childhood. 

In regards to my philosophy, I am client centered and solution focused. It is imperative to examine thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior to make positive changes. While the child may be my primary focus, I view the entire family system as the catalyst for which new beginnings can be achieved. This is a collaborative process, which involves working together during our sessions, and in real life. My goal is to empower families by providing education, strategy instruction, and compassion in order to become the siblings, parents, and community members they so desire.
